Conclusion

In conclusion, there are several challenges that we might face during the contribution of spreading anti-racism awareness such as the bullies’ intention, courage to fight against racism, and education on racism awareness. However, the purpose of controlling discrimination is still strong. There are a few methods that we can instil to help the minority groups who have been discriminated by others. For example, teachers can conduct a self-talk video to spread the messages to others, so that they are able to understand the importance of preventing racism cases. The responsibilities of all are to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for blacks and whites.

Moreover, based on the Albert Bandura Social Learning Theory, we knew that children are visual learners where they would imitate the behaviour of adults by viewing aggressive acts or violent behaviour. Hence, adults should always behave in a proper manner as their actions might influence the character development of their children (Krisbergh, 2018). In order to help the children to embrace and understand race and diversity, parents play a significant role as the primary teacher to educate their children on respecting and appreciating the differences between people. Parents are encouraged to discuss and share the topic of racism with the children whereby instils good moral values such as empathy and compassion so that they can be able to see the world are unjust or unfair (Harrison, 2020). As the lyrics of Heal the World that created by Michael Jackson, “We want to make it a better place for our children”, let us be the part of the change to stand against on fighting for human rights and voice to be anti-racist.

On a final note, one step from us can carry a strong message for people to understand the full aspects of rights and justice (Guterres, 2022). Therefore, taking one step forward to fight against racism is essential to bring us a better community, and bring the minority group a better home.
